How can I hire NYC catering services?

You can book our NYC catering services online. Just head here to fill out this form and let us know what you need. We’ll get back to you with a proposed budget and start talking about menu options.

Do you offer couples cooking classes near me?

We offer small group cooking sessions in our kitchen studio in Queens. We also provide private chef experiences, please reach out for more details.

How do I make it a private event?

After choosing the experience you can send a message to us and request a private event. You may also reach out to didyoukhado@gmail.com and one of our team members will help you coordinate a private experience.

What is your cancellation policy?

We completely understand when things come up last minute. You can reschedule up to 48 hours before an event without any fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours before an experience, you will be billed for the full amount.

Hosts buy ingredients fresh from the market and specialty stores and spend hours preparing for their classes. We have this cancellation policy in place in order to honor their time and ingredient purchases.

While we try to be as flexible as possible, our classes take planning, require food to be ordered in advance and have limited seating. Therefore, we require an advanced notice of at least 48 hours.

However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place because we understand things could happen.

What if I like an experience but cannot make it to any of the listed dates?

No worries! You can request a date by clicking the “Request a Private Class” link or by calling us at 718-490-4406.

Can I return a gift certificate and get a refund?

Similar to other companies, Did You Khado’s gift cards are not refundable. However, our gift cards will never expire.

Details and Requirements

Where do experiences take place? What if I get lost?

Once you register for a workshop, you will be sent an email with the exact address of your workshop.

Most of our experiences are hosted at our Chef’s Kitchen Studio at 152-11 89th Ave, Queens, NY 11432.

There is an entranceway that leads you to our main lobby where a doorman will be there to assist you with the elevator access to our floor. We are located on the 3rd floor - Unit 327.

There will also be a staff member on-call whom you can contact if you’re lost or otherwise need help.

Is there an age limit?

Most of our experiences can be enjoyed by kids and adults of all ages with some exceptions. If a student is under 18 they must be registered along with an adult. Please check the specific class for any age limit requirements.

Questions About the Event

Can I bring in my own food?

For food safety and allergy reasons, we do not allow any outside food, drinks, or snacks.

However, we do offer an hors d’oeuvre add-on that students can purchase before or during class – typically Jalapeño Poppers or Spinach Artichoke Poppers.

Any questions – feel free to call us in advance!

Can I keep the leftovers?

Absolutely! We recommend bringing your own Tupperware container to bring home any leftover food from the cooking classes.

We are constantly striving to reduce single-use plastics to make the food industry more sustainable.

Are they vegetarian cooking classes?

Absolutely! All of our cooking classes are 100% vegetarian. We can easily make adaptions for vegan and other diets as well.

If you’re not vegetarian, we’ll explain how you can cook the same recipes with meat and other ingredients, so you’ll be able to still take what you learned to your home kitchen.

Do you provide a birthday cake?

Yes! If you’re celebrating a birthday, please let us know and we’ll be happy to procure a customized birthday cake at an additional cost.

Again, for food safety reasons we cannot allow outside cakes or alcoholic beverages.

We’ll welcome you in, get you familiarized with your station, and teach you the recipe step by step.

At the same time, you can expect to learn some interesting bits of food history and unlock some tips and strategies to become a better cook. Plus you’ll be able to talk, connect with us and your fellow students, and have a personal, down-to-earth evening with food lovers.

We always accept new cooking class requests and are always happy to offer private classes. Most of our popular cooking classes are always available, but as chefs, we love to experiment and try new things.
